While there are still a few weeks before the first day of school, it appears that enrollment in Hudson schools will exceed projections.

Superintendent Mary Bowen-Eggebraaten made the report to the school board. She stressed that the numbers were preliminary and would likely change before the beginning of the school year on Sept. 5. She said the district is not always notified when students move out of the district and doesn’t find out until after school starts.

Isn't it interesting how the OTBL'ers and the likes of Cato talked about the sinister, hiden agendas and conspiracies involving what the local newspapers print and don't print.

Of course, here's a story that doesn't promote the OTBL agenda and so they are mute on it. But yet, they attack a private newspaper for not doing what they don't do...

How do you spell "hypocrisy?"

They are too busy building their anecdotal argument with housing starts going down to be concerned about actual enrollment numbers.

I still think the OTBL'ers think that when the percentage of housing starts decreases that means houses are being moved out of the county.

Let's see, St. Croix is the fastest growing county in Wisconsin and one of the fastest growing in the nation. A decrease in record grow means growth is still happening but the rate has slowed.

Maybe Luke and Jack Bauer should spend more time learning remedial math and spend less time on sharpening their slander skills.

The OTBL crowd needs to read a statewide newspaper, USA today, or even watch CNN on occasion. They might be shocked to find out that slow housing, slow sales, and slow development are not restricted nor unique to just Hudson and New Richmond right now. They act like St. Croix County is the ONLY place this is occuring.

I guess they need to expand their horizons, then again that might be asking a little bit too much of those flea brains.

I find it interesting that an OTBL'ers from North Hudson stated emphatically on OTBL that he would never write to the Hudson Star Observer again. Yet, there he is this week, using my name to write a letter objecting to this Meg Heaton article. Don't you think it's quite odd that this OTBL'er says he won't write to the HSO and then does it under someone else's name? What do you call that?

I object!

That sucks, man. I wouldn't put up with that crap. Call Doug Stohlberg at the Star-Observer and let him know that you don't want that OTBL'er using your name on his letters anymore.

He's is such a hypocrite. If he is going to stop writing to the paper, he should really stop writing. Isn't OTBL reaching enough people for him? I think there is at least 12 OTBL readers.
