Free Market Arms Smuggling Brought to You By Blackwater

From Associated Press
BAGHDAD - Federal prosecutors are investigating whether employees of the private security firm Blackwater USA illegally smuggled into Iraq weapons that may have been sold on the black market and ended up in the hands of a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, officials said Friday.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Raleigh, N.C., is handling the investigation with help from Pentagon and State Department auditors, who have concluded there is enough evidence to file charges, the officials told The Associated Press. Blackwater is based in Moyock, N.C.

The U.S. attorney for the eastern district of North Carolina, George Holding, and a spokeswoman for Blackwater did not return calls seeking comment Friday. Pentagon and State Department spokesmen declined to comment.

You're worried about your kids and grandkids Bob? Is that why you pushed for the largest referendum in the history of the state of Wisconsin? If your kids and grandkids have it bad, you can blame yourself for making it happen. Your thought process would be better suited for the communist blog run by your neighbor.

In The Know: White House Announces 'Everything Is Great In Iraf'

Ann (Thrax) Coulter Quote of the Day

Hillary Clinton Sinks To A New Low!!!

Limbaugh & Hannity Outraged!!!

As a listener to right wing radio talk show, today I was informed that Hillary Clinton had the audacity to compared VP Dick Cheney to Darth Vader. It's amazing how the talking points are the same from show to show. I'll be checking out Jason Lewass and Glenn Beck later to see if they got the talking points correct for the day.

Hannity feels that this has opened up the door to call Hillary names. He said he'd have Ann Clouter on his FOX show later to see if she agrees.

Maybe Clinton should have said the devil...

Dr. Flash Regurgitates Ayn Rand

Autie Ayn Says:
"OK Flash Repeat after me"

The Flash Echo:

"The fact is your health care is not, nor can it be, my financial obligation. As a moral precept, I do not owe you anything except what I owe to myself and to all other men - an obligation to act rationally.

Hillary Clinton, or anyone who argues that government has a role in "health care," is operating from a moral premise which assumes self-sacrifice as a virtue. That all of us are, indeed, born as indentured servants to the greater good of society. Nothing could be further from the intentions and vision of the founding of America. The basic premise upon which this country was founded was not Christian alms for the poor, or a code of self-sacrifice. What the truly unique American idea was, was that the individual is not subordinated to the group, the state, or society. Yet, this is precisely what is implied by either state run or federally mandated health care.

This pernicious idea of self-sacrifice as a virtue has caused more damage to more people than any other single concept. Its evil lies in the fact that when need is the standard, every man is both a victim and a parasite. The state requires him to pay taxes and labor to satisfy the perceived needs of others, leaving himself and his own family in the disgraceful position of a parasitic animal who is required to let some of his needs be filled by others. Under such a code of morality, the first value one is forced to sacrifice is morality itself, and next is ones own self-esteem."

Greenspan Critical of Bush Administration, Has Praise for Bill Clinton

From The Washington Post:
Greenspan, 81, indirectly criticizes his friend and colleague from the Ford administration, Vice President Cheney. Former Bush Treasury Secretary Paul H. O'Neill has quoted Cheney as once saying, "Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

Greenspan says, " 'Deficits don't matter,' to my chagrin became part of the Republicans' rhetoric."

He argues that "deficits must matter" and that uncontrolled government spending and borrowing can produce high inflation "and economic devastation."

"By the end of last year, Greenspan writes with some bitterness, Washington was "harboring a dysfunctional government. . . . Governance has become dangerously dysfunctional."

"However, he calls Clinton a "risk taker" who had shown a "preference for dealing in facts," and presents Clinton and himself almost as soul mates. "Here was a fellow information hound. . . . We both read books and were curious and thoughtful about the world. . . . I never ceased to be surprised by his fascination with economic detail: the effect of Canadian lumber on housing prices and inflation. . . . He had an eye for the big picture too.""
