Greenland’s glaciers have been shrinking for the past century, according to a Danish study, suggesting that the ice melt is not a recent phenomenon caused by global warming.

Danish researchers from Aarhus University studied glaciers on Disko island, in western Greenland in the Atlantic, from the end of the 19th century until the present day.

“This study, which covers 247 of 350 glaciers on Disko, is the most comprehensive ever conducted on the movements of Greenland’s glaciers,” glaciologist Jacob Clement Yde, who carried out the study with Niels Tvis Knudsen, told AFP.

Hi Tim Roth1618...

Welcome to ATBL1. Since you posted a comment that contradicts the info in this post, I'm guessing that you didn't realize it's spoofing our favorite spoofees over at ontheborderline.net. I quickly checked out your blog, it looks interesting especially the following ( I hope you don't mind me reprinting it here if you do, leave a comment & I'll delete it.)........

From Democracy CPR..

"So, I ran across a blog that I really wanted to post a comment on, but they had some ridiculous strings attached to posting comments. For example, they wanted a phone number to verify identity. Umm..thanks, but no thanks."

Anybody willing to bet the blog referred to above isn't OTBL?

Tim Thanks for your commentary on both blogs.....

Haha, since it's obvious what blog I'm referring to: yes, I'm talking about OBTL.

My original comment on this blog is what I really wanted to post on their site, but I'm not going to give out my phone number. Plus, they reserve the right to edit my post...interesting governing policy from a site that advocates the evil of central planning, etc. I'm suprising they didn't require a GOP-style loyalty pledge also. Oh well. We live in a free country, so they have ever right to act ignorant and close-minded.

Obviously I'm preaching to the choir here, but I thought I would reaffirm the good service this blog provides.

Do you have an e-mail address for them? I want to send them a peer-reviewed jounral article about the overwhelming consensus on global warming among the scientific community. I'm just curious to see what they think and if see they have a defense.

You may know about this journal article, but here's the link.

I forgot to say thanks for checking out my blog.

Also, "I'm surprised, not surpris-ing OBTL doesn't require a loyalty pledge to post a comment....I make a ton of typos, but that one was too stupid to let go!

Have a good day!
