Saddam sentenced to death

Saddam Hussein finally faced the consequences of his tyrannical rule today when he was found guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced to death by hanging.

The former Iraqi president looked defiant as the sentence was read out in the American-created court in Baghdad and repeatedly tried to drown out the chief judge by shouting "long live Iraq".

Two of his most senior former henchmen, including his half-brother Barzan al-Tikriti, were also sentenced to hang for their involvement in the killing of 148 Shia Muslims in the village of Dujail in 1982.

Let's see 2 days before a hotly contested elections for the Republicans. What a coincidence NOT!!!!! The is Karl Rove's November suprise. An American Voters will be stupid enough to let it influence their vote.

Is this really news? Of course, the Bush boys or whomever is in power, will sping this to their benefit. But what benefit do they reap from a foregone conculsion? Did we think the Iraqi court would find him innocent and let him go or put him on probation? I guess I won't find out the truth until I listen to Sean Hannity on the way home from work.
