Towncrybaby's Parting Tantrum

Famous for his tantrums over public employee benefits, Towncrybaby succumbed today to an ocean of tears produced during a recent OTBL tirade. The flood of whine was said to have been provoked by city officials rejecting a bid by Health Care Insurer Sihide of Bombay, India to provide bargain basement health care to City of Hudson employees. Sources close to Towncrybaby hinted that he had recently become despondent over never having a job for most of his adult life. He is survived by his blogmates N. Onimous and SpiritofBSofus. The family asks that in leiu of flowers mourners show their respect for Towncrybaby by patronizing ontheborderline web blog advertisers.

Hay...Hay...Hay... tell me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this guy live outside the City of Hudson??? Now I live in the city, vote and pay taxes in this community. I trust my city leaders and their ethics. I don't trust people that can only find negatives about everything in life. These people have been involved in disruption's, and negativism on a consistent basis, yet they have also professed to be a Christian. Pleeeees tell me how the two mix. You either walk the walk or you don't.

Norseman,

The gospel according to OTBL has placed a special emphasis on personal prosperity, and self rightiousness (just like Jesus would have if he were among us today NOT!)
Like the Pharisees, they see the flaws in everyone else but themselves. I think Jesus had a name for them also
Hypocrites!

And He said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light".
Amen

Funny,I never read that on OTBL. But I've seen a lot of whine-bibbing.

What "TheTownCrier" left out was that two companies declined to bid, knowing they couldn't compete with the state offered plan. This is in the minutes and articles.

And as for calling the employees "lard butts", how does he know they aren't thin and in shape.

Yep, seems like residents outside the city always have the best advice on city issues.

I rarely read OTBL anymore, the laughs just aren't there and it seems to have become a very less populated place. Maybe they are all hiding on a new site.

Perhaps some that really do wish to deabte, without feering the editing, or exclusion can do so. This blog does give that latitude, which seems to be more in-line with First Amendment princilpes.
I give 'Cato" credit for having the fortitude to continue participating in discussions, even through the humor.

I agree that OTBL has gone drastically downhill in the laugh-o-meter. I think it’s the Admin’s fault for layering the advertising commercialization over the top of the intellectual deep thoughts of his faithful contributors.

Once upon a time, OTBL had a selfless commitment to bring alive the teachings of the great dead economists and instruct the unwashed masses on the evils of socialism. The Doctors of Liberty volunteered their time to wax eloquently and create OTBL University.

Then --- the Admin came along and spoiled it all. He splattered the site with flashing advertisements, just to make a buck or two for his own pocket. How cheap and foolish the site looks now.

If I was smart enough to be a Doctor of Liberty, I would be ashamed to contribute anything further to that site under my name (or under a fake name for that matter).

Plus I think terrorists must have kidnapped "Jack Bauer", that or he and Luke didn't pay the internet service bill at their pad.

I'm guessing they've got a private site where they and rant, theorize, and philosophize and nobody will disagree with them.

I'm waiting for the Holiday Nuts advertising banner.

Canrac:

Are you saying the Jack Bauer is MIA?

Maybe that's what the New Richmond News editor meant last week in his editorial about the NR school district, when he wrote: "We are further encouraged that many involved in the recent battles have chosen to restrain themselves from commenting over the past couple weeks."

It seems the editor feels that Jack has voluntarily "restrained himself from commenting."

But I think that is unlikely.

I think you're right that it's a kidnapping situation.

We better alert law enforcement or, better yet, the SPCA.

I'm guessing we might be dealing with a threat letter here too.

Townliar an out of towner?? I always thought that townliar was a "lard butt" himself that caused so much strain on the flycords at the Phipps that they asked him to stay in Jacobson woods.
You boys are right about OTBL, not even worth a good extremist quote these days. It seems that their zenith was right before the New Richmond resignations. That took the wind out of their sails but good.
Hey, didn't a failed school board candidate from Hudson once promise a "New dawn" in education for New Richmond?? does anyone have that post? What a bafoon, oops, thats name calling.
But really folks, all you guys are just a bunch of name callers. We wouldn't find any of this kind of writing over at OTBL. Oh sure, you get the rant about the Willi letter from time to time, the school board room clearing of the trash (weese and shaw) and the hilarious claims of that poor dear that made up the story of being verbally assaulted while taking pictures of hudson citizens voluteering for a cadidate that she was working against. It just isn't any fun any more.

Say it ain't so, Ragin!

Don't say the fun is gone! Don't say the end of OTBL is near! Don't say ATBL faces the final curtain!

Ohhhhh!

In the immortal words of Frank Sinatra:

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill, my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that.
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way!"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels, and not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows, and DID IT MY WAY!

Save the swan song, I don't think anyone's going away real soon.

Hey, check out the article in the HSO webpage about the police sgt. and the disciplinary action deal. Read the COMMENTS. I believe some of the OTBL morons got caught reading the HSO, which they deny they do.

BTW, is it Marianne, Mary Ann, Maryann, or Marion????

Good catch. I had missed that little volley. Seems like all the good back-and-forth is taking place on the HSO and ATBL these days, not on OTBL (maybe because OTBL doesn't allow back-and-forth??).

Once again the disgruntled "concerned citizens" have diligently uncovered unbridled corruption in Hudson city hall, the police department and the school district. According to them, local government officials in Hudson make Watergate look like a girl scout jamboree.

I suspect that if they keep drumming on these issues, then thousands of citizens will rise up in their defense and call for a complete recall of every local election in the last 6 years, and the dismissal of all public employees. (Not)
