APEG "Bright Bulbs" suffer Power Outage in HSO
SPECIAL EDITION
This evening some of the brightest bulbs in St. Croix County suffered a power drain. Sabotage is the likely cause. The Anti-Public Education Group of Hudson (APEG) lit up the night in last week's Hudson Star-Observer. One week later, their incandescence has waned to a mere flicker of its former self. An official from Xcel Energy described the phenomenon as a "brown-out." When asked to elaborate, he said: "The term 'brown-out' comes from the color of the material used by APEG in their writings. A guy's got to wear his shinola-kickers around them - if you know what I mean." The editors of this blog received an anonymous call from a man claiming to be the spokesman for a clandestine group which takes responsibility for the attack on APEG. The man referred to his group as HOTS (Hudson's Obnoxious Teacher-Spouses), and explained that the secret members of the group are affectionately referred to as "hotties." Apparently, the group is edu-friendly and is prepared to use any means in their continuing fight against APEG. When asked if he could provide any information about HOTS next target, the spokesman made a vague reference to a "turnip truck" and hung up.
