Barack Obama gets the Swift Boat keel-haul slander right early
A current post at the local blog -- ontheborderline.net -- is an early attempt to Swift Boat Barrack Obama. What better target for the late-night torch beares of the right-wing radicals than a bi-racial man with an Islamic name! I read this post and when right to Snopes.com to check on its authenticity. The OTBL poster, Bob Ziller, does ask for verification of this information. He's been alerted that it is false. Snopes.com is an excellent site for debunking the rumors and slander oozing about the Internet.
Let's see if they retract this post and/or post additional information explaining the false accusations of this post. Or is that only the local newspapers that are held to that standard?

Please keep up the good work. You are the best entertainment value in Hudson. Every day you make me laugh until my sides ache with the stupid and ridiculous things you post on OTBL.
If you only knew how far your assinine accusations are from the truth, I think even you would laugh at yourself.
So, please, please, please, keep posting @ OTBL. The more the better because you're helping the cause of public school supporters more than you can imagine.

Born on this day: Thomas Paine
Thomas Paine (January 29, 1737 – June 8 1809) was an English American intellectual, scholar, revolutionary, deist and political and religious thinker, who spent much of his time in America and France. A radical pamphleteer, Paine anticipated and helped foment the American Revolution through his powerful writings, most notably Common Sense, an incendiary pamphlet advocating independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. An advocate of liberalism and a Freemason, he outlined his political philosophy in Rights of Man, written both as a reply to Edmund Burke's view of the French Revolution and as a general political philosophy treatise as well as Common Sense, a treatise on the benefits of personal liberty and limited government, in which he considers society a representation of human ideals, and government a necessary evil. In Agrarian Justice he argued for a form of welfare state and social security provisions for the old, and a capital sum for the young to set them up in their adult career. Paine was also noteworthy for his support of deism, taking its form in his treatise on religion The Age of Reason, as well as for his eye-witness accounts of both the French and American Revolutions.

The Borderline Nut Diet
One day, back when I had a Great Dane, I was buying a large bag of Purina at Wal-Mart. I was in line to check out when a woman behind me asked,
"Oh! Do you have a dog?"
On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time. I went on to say that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry...that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.
I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story. Horrified, she asked if I'd been poisoned. I answered, "No, I was sitting in the street licking my balls when a car hit me."
