Yellow KKK Redfaced Over Black Roots
I read recently that former KKK leader David Duke was arrested and kicked out of the Czech Republic after Czech police arrested him in Prague on suspicion of denying the Holocaust. Czech authorities reportedly had focused on Duke's book "My Awakening," which has passages challenging or justifying the Holocaust, according to the Czech news agency CTK. Denying the Holocaust carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison in the Czech Republic. A local neo-Nazi group had invited Duke, whose lecture at Charles University was canceled by the Prague school. Duke has been living in Austria.
Concerning the recent research finding on DNA and the origin of modern humans, I wonder if Duke will become a DNA denier?
“I don't call myself a white supremacist. I'm a civil rights activist concerned about European-American rights.”

"Locations for the Garden of Eden have been offered many times before, but seldom in the somewhat inhospitable borderland where Angola and Namibia meet.
A new genetic survey of people in Africa, the largest of its kind, suggests, however, that the region in southwest Africa seems, on the present evidence, to be the origin of modern humans. The authors have also identified some 14 ancestral populations.
The new data goes far toward equalizing the genetic picture of the world, given that most genetic information has come from European and Asian populations. But because it comes from Africa, the continent on which the human lineage evolved, it also sheds light on the origins of human life..."

“Our clear goal must be the advancement of the white race and separation of the white and black races. This goal must include freeing of the American media and government from subservient Jewish interests.”

Come on, Sunny. If you want some juicy KKK quotes, you should use a few from the former KKK Kleagle and current US Senator from West Virginia – Robert Byrd.
In a letter he wrote in 1946 to the Imperial Wizard of the KKK (three years after he says he abandoned the group) he wrote: "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia" and "in every state in the Union."
In another letter he wrote after he “quit the Klan,” Senator Byrd attacked desegregation in the Armed Forces. In it, he vowed never to fight “with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds."
Later, in his Senate career, he would famously filibuster the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act – legislation supported, as I have pointed out before, by a greater percentage of Republican Congressmen than Democrat Congressmen -- for more than 14 hours. He also opposed the nominations of the Supreme Court's only two black justices, liberal Thurgood Marshall and conservative Clarence Thomas.
So why waste good blog space talking about a nobody like David Duke – a twisted little man who has been never won an election and who has been repudiated by, and tossed out of both major parties – when we have a living, breathing KKK specimen walking the halls of the US Senate today?

A quote from 1946...I was trying to be a little more modern. You know use quotes from contemporary America.
We all know that Bryd is the exception of the racist wing of the Demcratic Party. He stayed a Democrat while the rest jump ship to the Republican Party and became what is known today as the "Republican base."
Sunny,
Actually, Byrd is the rule.
Lets go over this for the umteenth time, Sunny, since you seem to have a problem with your history and its analysis:
The Republican Party was was born of the abolitionist movement, it won the 1860 election over the pro-slavey Democrats, it fought the good fight against the racist Democrat Confederacy, and afterwords, worked to reconstruct the racist Democrat south. It was the Republican party that fought Senator Byrd's Ku Klux Klan, as well as the Jim Crow Laws of the Democrats Faubus, Wallace, Connor, and others. And it was the Republican party that voted in large majorities for both the 1957 Civil Rights Bill (defeated by Democrat votes), and the 1964 Civil Right Bill (passed with larger percentages of Republicans than Democrats).
So Sunny, I'm rally having a hard time understanding why you continue to think that disaffected racist Democrats would seek a home in a party with a 100 year history of abhorance of racism, or why a party with a 100 year abhorance of racism would want to accept racist former Democrats into their party.
I don't want to be talking past each other, so please, why do you think racist democrats found a home with the party of abolition?
