New Richmond Tea Party: Saturday, July 18

What's that smell...

“Many people think the country is going in the wrong direction and there is a lot of dissatisfaction. People are saying enough is enough, and we’re helping them figure out ways to get their voices heard.”

What 'worthy cause' would you recommend?

I happen to think that attempting to save our nation from certain economic death, and thus ensuring that our citizens have jobs, homes, clothing, and food is a pretty 'worthy cause'. That is, unless you prefer that we all become completely dependent on government?

Cap and Trade will BANKRUPT our nation and leave us no opportunity whatsoever for economic recovery. Universal health care will do the same.

Do you believe that forcing our children to live in poverty created by government, and forcing them to be dependent upon government while their liberties are stolen from them is compassionate?

WAKE UP, people. This has nothing to do with politics, anymore. We're all about to get sentenced to living under an Orwellian governmental order, whether we're Republican, Democrat, or Independent.

I definately think these Tea Parties are a worthy cause. I'm for reduced taxes and decreased spending. However, there might be some disagreement between me and the average Tea Partier about which taxes to cut and what spending needs to be cut.

Hell, if you can get people off the apathetical asses and get involved in exercising their political voices, you might be able to tweak the directions of the two political stream rollers called the Democratic and Republican Parties. Will it might a difference? Likely not. Money is power and those particating in the Tea Parties ain't the ones with the money.

The economy will eventually right itself. The pending dome preached by the Joey's of the blogosphere won't happen and life will go on in the great experiment of American democracy. The populistically naive will fly their "Don't Tread On Me Flags" and, depending on the economy in 2012, might be sucked backed into the Republican ranks to vote for another "conservative" who will revert to the same money-poer game played by Reagan and the Bushes.

As for forcing "our children to live in poverty," I'd say the Aemrican version of proverty lookes pretty good to 5.5 billion people living on Earth. Is Joey's poverty the kind they have in Denmark, Sweden and Norway or in the gutters of Culcatta? Will our children's poverty included cellphones and text messages?

Maybe somebody better Windex their crystal ball...
