The trouble with people like Pat Robertson is that he really gives Christians a very bad name. Probably 90 percent of those who call themselves "Christians" will find Robertson's statement(s) sickening. He acts just like an "insurgent" or "terrorist" or whatever the roadside bombers in Iraq are. Who do you think they are killing? Followers of the Islamic faith. People who are working hard to get by. The terrorists in Iraq or Afghanistan or London use bombs to destroy people's brains. People like Pat Robertson use television to poison the brains of well-meaning viewers who are searching for the truth. Robertson holds out the promise of blissful eternity with one hand and picks their pocket with the other.

This is the kind of slap sensible Christians need. They need to wake up and participate on the side of America that wants to make this a better country -- and world -- for all...regardless of race, color, creed, 401K balance, number of vacation homes, race horses owned, etc., etc.

Make sure you check out the www.ontheborderlie.blogspot.com link for more on Pat Robertson.

As always, thanks for stopping by. On this side of the border, we need to work together, understand there are differences of opinion and join together in a community.

On the other side of the border, they get nervous when they see words like "community." It is too similar to the word "communist." As a matter of fact, Pat Robertson gets pretty nervous about the commie word. It's funny (not in a ha, ha way) how the only people that throw the "commie" word around are on the far right. I never hear mention of Karl Marx, Stalin, etc. at any type of progressive political function. Yet, on the far-right side of the border, they are so quick to use the "commie" tag when you don't agree with them.

That is soooooooo John Birch Society...
