Value Voters Alert !!!!!!
There's not enough web space available for all the scandals.
Here's a short list.
Jeff Gannon Partisan blogger with no journalism credentials and a fake name who got invited to Bush's Press conferences. Is also a pimp and a gay prostitute.
Bob Barr, Republican Congressman from Georgia. Sponsored the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act, saying "The flames of hedonism, the flames of narcissism, the flames of self-centered morality are licking at the very foundation of our society, the family unit." Was married three times. Paid for his second wife's abortion. Failed to pay child support to the children of his first two wives and while married to his third and present wife was photographed licking whipped cream off of strippers at his inaugural party.
Merrill Robert Barter, Republican County Commissioner, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact and assault on a teenage boy.
Jim Bunn Congressman of Oregon: With his success due in great part to support from the Christian Coalition, Bunn won his congressional seat, then immediately ditched his wife (and mother of his five children), married a staffer, and put his new wife on the state payroll for the unheard-of salary of $97,500.
Randy Cunningham: Federal prosecutors are investigating allegations that Congressman and confessed-felon 'Duke' Cunningham was periodically supplied with prositutes.[6] Cunningham pled guilty to corruption charges, and is currently serving jail-time.
Paul Crouch Televangelist, Former President of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Paid $425,000 in hush money in an attempt to cover up a gay affair.
Ed Schrock, two-term Republican Congressman from Virginia, with a 92% approval rating from the Christian Coalition. Cosponsor of the Federal Marriage Amendment, consistently opposed gay rights. Married, with wife and kids. Withdrew his candidacy for a third term after tapes of him soliciting for gay sex were circulated.
Brian J. Doyle, Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Department of Homeland Security. On March 12, 2006, Doyle contacted a 14-year-old girl whose profile was posted on the Internet, and initiated a sexually explicit conversation with her. The girl was actually an undercover Polk County Sheriff s Computer Crimes detective. Doyle knew that the girl was 14 years old, and he told her who he was and that he worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. During future online chats, Doyle gave the undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old girl his office phone number and his government-issued cell phone number, so that they could have telephone conversations, in addition to their online chatting. Doyle used the Internet to send hard-core pornographic movie clips to the girl and used the AOL Instant Messenger chat service to have explicit sexual conversations with her.

I guess I'm not getting your point here? Are you saying that Republicans are bad and that we couldn't do a list like this related to Democrats? And if Doyle is a pervert do we blame the republican party, or the department of homeland security? Since Hilary Clinton is unattractive should we not vote for any democrats? You lost me on this post.
Yep, I forgot the dems set perfect examples for all of their values and philosophies. I'll admit the Rep's haven't been the greatest example setters right now, but the dems are hardly perfect. And no, I dont' vote straight rep, my ballot is usually split. And yes, I could have done the same type of list for dems, but I don't throw stones when they can be thrown back.
Seriously, if a person gets arrested do you blame their a) political affiliation, b) who they work for, or c) others they associate with? I usually blame the individual.
Like you said, don't throw stones that can come back. Well, these guys threw a lot of stones. They should watch out for the boomerang.
Nobody's blocked your comments. Go ahead make your list.
If I recall my Catholic upbringing correctly, I don't remember any patron saints assigned to politics.
I did know Doyle is a pervert? Did I miss the latest Paul Nelson ads or has Mark Green teamed with Paul to co-op on some sleazy adds?
Concerning sleazy politics and ads, it's interesting and refreshing to see that the Pioneer Press endorsed the Independent candidate for governor.
He evidently has something that Jesse The Body lacked -- a functioning brain. Although I'll quickly add that I loved it when Jesse spoke his mind on a subject. I didn't like it when he took it back the next day.
Only a partisan hack blog would hold up the opposition party's dirty laundry, when they know full well they got an overflowing laundry basket of skid-marked hypocrisy.
Thanks for your comment. But I think you meant to post it at ontheborderline.nut.
666,
Don't forget about St. Diebold my son.
Canrac seems to be totally missing the point. If he can't see the hypocricy in the "moral majority" getting caught with their pants down, there is no reasoning with him. He should take his narrow mind to otbl.
The list is a political snaphot and is very relevent when looking at the planks of the platform that the GOP has been beating the Dems over the head with. otbl gives us lists on top of lists that make the dems look bad, but allow no discusion from those having other opinions. The people that try to insulate the party from the politician in question just won't let themselves see it for what it is. Partisan politics at its polar best.
Anonymous statement about this "hack blog" is hilarious.
Talk about blind and stupid.
I am willing to stipulate that equal numbers of dems and reps in office are perverts, call it a 50/50 split. In the here and now, the GOP is in the hot seat because they should be! The fact that we are even discussing it is quite sad.
Dems, should not gloat, Reps should take their lumps, and everyone in politics should keep it in their pants.
Hmmmnnn, the reason I'm here is that its a welcome change from OTBL. Maybe I overreacted, maybe I didn't read close enough, and probably more then anything else I'm just sick of the hypocricy and politics in general. I agree fully on the St. Paul Pioneer press comment althought I never considered Jesse a fountain of information. And lets see....I'm voting for Doyle and whomever the person is thats running against Kitty. I'll chill a little bit.
Carnac;
I suspect that many people are sick of politics in general. At least the brand that we now see. Perhaps there could be a better way.
Many christians (and people of other faiths, and even non-faith) don't buy into the Far right view, as it is focused more on power/money values than what Christ (or other faith values) taught. I believe the far majority want responsible government, not big, yet a compassionate government that isn't owned by the welthiest, and actually has compassion for it's majority, and the less fortunate.
Perhaps a prophetic, or similar movement would be more desirable.
