Kerry Attacks Chicken Hawks

Watch the Video

"I'm sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did."

Right CATO:
Like the Chicken hawks can tout their success in Iraq by exponentially increasing the number of American Body bags.

Hey Cato, was it not President Bush who pranced around looking under couch cushions saying "no, no wmd's here" while on camera?
That was while our troops were dying trying to find those wmd's by the way.
I don't like the Kerry flub, but let us keep things in perspective.
Or are you guilty of doing the same thing here that you accused dems of doing by beating the foley scandal to death?

CATO:

You're right, you can't beat something to death in 12 hrs. with one comment on a blog.
I remember when we had the initial fireworks in Iraq. Was I glad to see Saddam gone you bet. But I said to an Air Force retiree at the time, "they better find those weapons or we're screwed". In the back of my mind I thought "This is just too easy". How many troops did we loose in the first couple weeks, less than a dozen. Where did the Iraqi army evaporate too? Now we know.
I'd prefer to see a U.S. victory in Iraq, but that opportunity has been squandered by Bush and Cheney partly to enrich Halliburton. I think it's too late. We need to find a way out.
Personally, I love seeing Kerry give it Bush and the Chicken Hawks. Non of them have ever been to war. Kerry has.

Don't be too sure we're hanging on to Afghanistan? All this stuff is a lot more complicated than meets the eye.
About a month ago. Musharif was making deals with the tribal villages on the borderline (no pun intended) with Afghanistan. He basically paid them off to stop attacking Pakistani forces.
1. He paid them off with money form America.
2. Guess who has money owed to them from these village leaders?
You guessed it Al Queda. So our gov. is indirectly financing Al Queda.

What's up with the Chinese? Are the caito=commies going to kick are free-market asses in the global market place?

The Chinese have traditionally been a stay-at-home people who might donate arms and support to border problems that could cause them grief.

Cato, etc....

What office is Kerry running for this November? I live in Wisconsin and this isn't a Presidential election year and, if he is running in Massachuscetts, I can't vote for. Some I'm a little confused about what the fuss is.

Is it that a Democrat from the East Coast liberal hotbed of Boston said something stupid. I listened to Rush, Hannity and Ed Schultz today and it was all they talked about. Talk about a bunch of one-track minded choral directors preaching to their respective chiors.

There's loonies on my left, looniers on my right and I'm stuck in the middle with WRP and MRP. Talk about fucking idiots...

If I'm not mistaken, Lardass Limbaugh had a special meeting with the Shrub so he could follow the Rove marching orders on this. It's no accident they blabbed about Kerry all day. It takes the attention off everything their screwing up.

Like what enmormous threats? Market power? Military power? Lending power? Prostituional power to lure away commerce from the US? Power to make the neo-con hegeomaniacs realize they might have to sit down and work with the rest of the world? Details soldier...

I thought America was a free country. We should be able to say what we want, when we want and where we want. Check your Constitution. I personally prefer "patriots" like Kerry as opposed to those like McVeigh or Bush or Cheney.

As you say CATO, the chinese hold an enormous segment of our debt. But this is a debt incurred by the Bush/Cheney team that chose to borrow and spend rather than tax and spend.
As to them being a threat. Abslolutely. All they have to do is call in what we owe them. I think what stops them is America as their largest consumer of junk. But that's changing. The are making deals with third world companies to build their cars in return for oil. Once they have other countries buying their junk watch out!

Cato:

In your history studies, do you have any examples of expansionist intentions by the Chinese? It sounds to me like you are afraid of their market power. That seems strange coming from you free-market, libertarian perspective.

Or are you suggesting we need to step back and evaluate our open trade policies with the likes of China.
