Where are those glaciers located? In Fred Barne's and Steve Milloy's labs at Exxon headquarters?

Don't you find it interesting that we
tend to look for "research" that justifies our respective political polarity?
Honestly, for the skeptic, this kind of science and political brew makes it
really hard to ascertain what is true and what matches one's bias.

No...meters v. feet. To those of us who were well prepared for the coming meteric system -- back in the early 1970s -- we know the difference. Don't try to dodge my point of misinformation with some petty fact scoop out of the vast information drainage ditch known as Google. At least I can admit that anything you see me post here was made up by me. At least I can trust myself. I used to be a Boy Scout and I still stick with the motto.

I don't know what decade you remember people being worried about the next ice age. In the mid 60's I had teachers tell me the ice shelves could melt and
flood N.Y. and the next war would be about oil.

You humor is always appreciated here. I am only looking out for the younger generation who might stumble on this site through a keying error involving a MySpace.com address. In the event that they figured out that our coin/cash system works just like the metric system, I wouldn't want them getting confused when the graduate with PhDs and end up being contract workers at McDonalds store in Bombay.

In anycase, lowering emmissions is unlikely to be a bad thing. Kinda like
airbags.
